December Overview December brings you to the end of the year and the end of the tasks and projects that have been the mainstay during this year. December is universally a NINE month. The decisions accentuated by the third connection of Mercury and Saturn, which occured on November 25th solidified the shift that has created a very powerful transition in your life. With both Mercury and Saturn in Scorpio, the outer changes were prompted by the true inner essence that drives motives, ethics and values. As the drawbridge comes down at the end of November, the pathway from one way of life to another begins to be seen. This accentuates the dynamic shift at the end of the year bringing forward the Phoenix rising from the ashes, and the opening of a new life in 2014. The NINE universal month requires that the old is packaged up and moved out of the way. Loose ends will be tied up and give you the events that shift you out of an old way of life and into your new direction. Clearing out the old, whether it is people, places or things, the theme of the NINE sets this important pace as you are making room for the new people, places and things that are coming into your life in the New Year of 2014. The New Moon on December 2nd in fiery Sagittarius ignites your new goals and directions. At 11 Sagittarius, the spiritual elements come into the day, emphasizing the spiritual purpose aligned with your avenues and pathways that are opening up. Mercury moves into Sagittarius on December 4th, which brings both planets, Sun and Mercury, to walk together with similar goals, this time with a new sense of purpose. Mars shifts into Libra, creating a surge in social events and interactions, bringing a very different energy into December. Mid-month the Full Moon rises as the winds of change blow in many changes, as Uranus turns direct. The events from the year and especially from Octobers Mercury retrograde, can now hit the trade winds signaling that it is time to sail into the open ocean, and head to a different sea. Travel becomes a major factor from the winds of change as the Sagittarius Sun shines the light onto the shifts that are happening. The spontaneity is also activated, as Mars and Uranus become the gale force winds that shift your direction and activate your plans. Also during the later part of the month, Sun moves into Capricorn creating the Solstice at the same time that Venus in Capricorn turns retrograde. Venus retrograde brings in the past associations of love relationships, financial connection and pulls your heartstrings. This helps to shift many aspects of your life, pushing you to see that it is time to tie up loose ends, as your life is being pulled into 2014 with many elements of Venus retrograde. December 31st and January 1st bring in a major shift and change as Mercury connects with Pluto on the last day of the year. Opening up 2014 the New Moon also connects the Sun with Pluto, bringing in a major emphasis of transformation. Moving beyond the old out-dated ways, you will enter 2014 with a greater awareness and requirement to be true to yourself. This sets a completely new pace to the events that are emerging in 2014, especially as Venus retrograde brings in people from your past that pull at your heartstrings.
