December: Special Blessings - God Crowns the Year with Goodness By Dr. Lewis Akpogena This year will not finish until you finish all that God has in-store for you. Do you know that God loads our days with benefits? So each day we have loads of blessings. Sometimes, due to sin and wrong confession we don’t access these blessings on a daily basis.bOne thing with God is that He doesn’t take back His blessings. The scripture says: ‘The gift of God is without repentance.’ All the blessings that are meant for you this year, that you have not accessed, God is delivering them in rapid succession within the next 31days. Expect God’s Goodness And Abundance, Now! God Has Crowned Your Year With His Goodness And Your Paths Shall Drip With Abundance. Amen! You Crown The Year With Your Goodness, And Your Paths Drip With Abundance(Ps. 65:11). The Economic Experts May Have Painted A Gloomy Picture For The Year, But As Far As God Is Concerned, He Has Crowned The Year With His Goodness And Abundance! God’s Supply And Provision Are Never Affected By World Events, So Good Times Or Bad Times, Expect Every Month, Every Week And Every Day Of This Year To Be Surrounded By God’s Goodness. Expect His Abundance To Meet Your Every Need! Today 1st December 2014 at Holy Ghost Morning Service at Salvation Ministries, my Pastor, David Ibiyeomie declared December month of Special Blessings with God crowning the year with goodness. “You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness…”(Psalm 65:11, AMP) The Lord has crowned your year with bounty and goodness! That means there is an abundant supply for whatever you may need - spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially - He has also set up a system so that you can access His blessings. It’s the system of seed time and harvest. If you have a need in your life, sow a seed. For example, if you’re lonely and need friends, sow a seed by being a friend to someone. If you have a financial need, pray and ask the Lord where you should sow a financial seed. The Bible says, Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. That’s God crowning your year with bounty and goodness. Do you need mercy? Sow seeds of mercy. The more you sow, the more you will reap a harvest from God’s abundant bounty. Remember, He’s already crowned your year with His goodness. Take a step of faith today and believe that God is ready to pour out His abundant blessing on you all the days of your life. God Crowns the Year with Goodness : Psalm 65:11(NKJV) “You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with abundance.” I would like you to take a closer look at the tenses used in that scripture. It did not say: “You WILL crown the year…..” It is not a future tense, it is a present continuous tense. It is not a promise. In other words; it is God’s character to end the year with goodness. Don’t believe the lie of the devil that evil happens during December period. No sir! God ends the year with goodness. Boy!!! Goodness means everything good. There is no accident in goodness, so nobody will die by accident in your family this period. There is no sickness and lack in goodness. Therefore sickness and lack will be far from you this period. GOD ENDS THE YEAR WITH GOODNESS. God Crowns the Year with Goodness: Psalm 65:11(NKJV) “You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with abundance.” During the coronation of a king, the crown is usually the last thing that a king wears. Without the crown, there is no coronation. David understood this perfectly well because He was a king. “The height” of every coronation is the wearing of the crown. It is because of this, that when someone is made king, they usually say that He was crowned king. The “crown” in that scripture, talks about the “height”. The height of a thing is the “peak, zenith, apex, best, etc” God has reserved the best for you for the remaining part of this year. You don’t get it! The scripture says: “The end of the matter is better than the beginning thereof.”(Eccl. 7:8). What you have experienced from January to today, does not hold a candle near of what God is set to do for the remaining part of this year. 31 days is too much for God to fix you up. YOUR SET TIME IS NOW…….God Crowns the Year with Goodness. Psalm 65:11(NKJV) “You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with abundance.” The Psalmist said: “Forever o’ Lord, your word is settle in heaven”. God’s promises and attributes are settled in heaven. But it’s your responsibility as a christian to settle it here on earth. That God ends the year with goodness and make our paths to flow with abundance does not mean that every child of God will work in the reality of it. Your ability as a christian to declare this Word in your life everyday for the rest of the year determines the extent at which you will work in the reality of it. Faith that does not speak is fake. Hebrews 4:2 “The word that was preached to us was also preached to them, but the word did not profit them because,it did not mix with faith in the heart of them that heard it.” Paul said: “I believe, have I spoken. Believe, therefore speak! YOU SHALL HAVE WHAT YOU SAY……..God Crowns the Year with Goodness: Psalm 65:11(NKJV) “You crown the year with your goodness and your paths drip with abundance.” During this time of the year, people are tempted to write off the remaining days, focusing on the coming year. One thing that I know about God is that even when we give up on ourselves, He does not and will not give up on us. Every prophecy that you received at the beginning of this year, that has not yet manifested in your life, can still come to pass. Why your testimony is delayed is because God wants it to be the latest. Is it promotion that you need in the office? Financial breakthrough? Marital breakthrough? Whatever you desire before the end of this year, is still possible. GOD CAN AND HE WILL……..As the year gradually comes to an end, I want to encourage you to focus on all the good things God has done. Take your eyes off the things that didn’t happen and fix your thoughts on the blessings he brought upon your life. As you do, in Dancing December, God will crown your year with goodness, and your path will overflow with abundance. It’s Christmas, so let the praise begin. Simply thinking of how God crowns our year, each and every year, each and every day of the year, Spurgeon said. “All the year round, every hour of every day, God is richly blessing us; both when we sleep and when we wake, his mercy waits upon us. The sun may leave off shining, but our God will never cease to cheer his children with his love. Like a river his lovingkindness is always flowing, with a fullness inexhaustible as his own nature, which is its source. Like the atmosphere which always surrounds the earth, and is always ready to support the life of man, the benevolence of God surrounds all his creatures; in it, as in their element they live, and move, and have their being. Yet as the sun on summer days appears to gladden us with beams more warm and bright than at other times, and as rivers are at certain seasons swollen with the rain, and as the atmosphere itself on occasions is fraught with more fresh, more bracing, or more balmy influences than heretofore, so is it with the mercy of God: it hath its golden hours, its days of overflow, when the Lord magnifieth his grace and lifteth high his love before the sons of men.” Indeed, this ought to be such a time. We ought to be thankful each and every day, but especially during this “holiday” season, we ought to be especially mindful of His mercy and grace. What amazing grace it is. And seeing that grace, embracing that mercy, upholding God’s crowing gifts in our life is the very best way to celebrate the season. Spurgeon saw that as well, and concluded his message with a few suggestions about how we could truly see God’s crowning goodness in our lives. And I’ll leave you with those same suggestions, praying you may see God’s grace and goodness this December. The whole subject seems to give us one or two suggestions as to matters of duty. “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness.” One suggestion is this: some of you in this house are strangers to God, you have been living as his enemies, and you will probably die so. But what a blessing it would be if a part of the crown of this year should be your conversion! “The harvest is past and the summer is ended, and ye are not saved.” But oh, what a joy, if this very day you should turn unto God and live! Remember, the way of salvation was freely proclaimed last Sabbath morning, it runs in this style — “This is the commandment, that ye believe on Jesus Christ whom he hath sent.” Soul, if this day thou trustest in Christ, it shall be thy spiritual birthday, it shall be unto thee the beginning of days; emancipated from thy chains, delivered from the darkness of the valley of the shadow of death, thou shalt be the Lord’s free man. What sayest thou? O that the Spirit of God would bring thee this day to turn unto him with full purpose of heart. Another suggestion. Would not the Lord crown this year with his goodness if he would move some of you to do more for him than you have ever done before? Cannot you think of some new thing that you have forgotten, but which is in the power of your hand? Can you not do it for Christ to-day? — some fresh soul you have never conversed with, some fresh means of usefulness you have never attempted? And lastly, would not it be well for us if the Lord would crown this year with his goodness by making us begin from this day to be more prayerful? Let our prayer meetings have more at them, and let everyone in his closet pray more for the preacher, pray more for the Church. Let us, everyone of us, give our hearts anew to Christ. What say you to-day, to renew your consecration vow? Let us say to him, “Here, Lord, I give myself away to thee once more. Thou hast bought me with thy blood, accept me over again; from this good hour I will begin a new life for a second time if thy Spirit be with me. Help me, Lord, for Jesus Christ’s sake.” Amen. How has your year been? Is it better or worse than last year? Every end of year is to be better than the former. Our lives are meant to be filled with goodness. This article expresses how to end the year with the best part of blessings. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness – Psalm 65:11 (KJV). We really need to put in our best to get the best out of anything. A wise man said, “Put in nothing and you will get nothing”. For us to enjoy any end of year with goodness, we must have put in our own share of work, skill, diligence, love, studying, and wisdom practices, etc. But you must understand that it does not depend totally and only on your effort. The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. God is the ultimate authority to reckon with if you are to end the year with goodness. You need His seal on all your efforts and inputs. No matter the state of affairs with you presently, God’s touch will drop fatness. Nothing is impossible with God, only believe. So, how far have you gone in preparation to enjoy the best part of this year now? What would you want to see happen realistically before the end of the year? What does God say about it in His word? Do you believe it? Have you asked God for it? Are you declaring it? Do you believe God enough to thank Him for the answer before you see it? Your answers to above questions give a picture of the amount of goodness you will enjoy this end of year. May be you have believed God for a particular thing, and you have done your own part of the responsibility, (diligence, faith, love, obedience, etc.) or you heard a promise from God to do a particular thing for you, but you are yet to experience it. I have good news! It is not late yet! Remind God of what He said (in His word) concerning that issue? Be persuaded that what He said to do, He will do. Continually declare this promise aloud. Thank Him for the answer yet to be experienced. I assure you that God will manifest Himself in your life. God crowns the year with His goodness and His paths drop fatness. Key in today and You will end the year with goodness. “You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness…” - Psalm 65:11, AMP. You are blessed for life.
