December is my least favourite month. There is very little sunlight, very awful weather, and everything is so busy that they are in a bad mood, stressed out, and they just dont have time to relax or have a little social interaction. The only good thing about December is Christmas, which happens to be one of my favourite days of the year. But that is really the only part of December I like. The whole month people are running around stores trying to spend money on presents that kids will play with for a few weeks and never touch again, people rush to get good deals on Boxing Day and stress about making sure everything is just right for when the family comes over for dinner. Where is the love, joy, kindness, happiness? Why must we care so much about whether or not every last corner of the house is perfectly clean and if each vegetable and piece of meat is cooked to perfection? Why cant we just enjoy the company of others and love each other unconditionally? Why must we buy into this over-commercialized stressful picture of what Christmas is when it is really supposed to be so much simpler? Cindy Lou Who and Faith Hill said it best Where are you Christmas? I dont care about these material items or these plastic decorations. I care about my friends and family, the people that I love and cherish. I care about spending time with them and celebrating the birth of Baby Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. And I care about the people who cant afford to have such a lavish Christmas and who will be alone during the Holidays. This year for Christmas, what I really want is for people to feel loved and cared for, if I could get that, it would be a much better Christmas present than anything that could fit under a tree. https://youtube/watch?v=nmGSHZYZ74c
