December solstice and Christmas In modern times Christians all - TopicsExpress

December solstice and Christmas In modern times Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day, which falls on December 25. However, its believed that this date was chosen to offset pagan celebrations of Saturnalia and Natalis Invicti. Did you read and understand that? If not go back and read it again! Some believe that celebrating the birth of the “true light of the world, meaning the arrival of Gods son on the earth” was set in synchronization with the December solstice because from that point onwards, the days began to have more daylight in the Northern Hemisphere. Christmas is also referred to as Yule, which may have derived from the Norse word jól, referring to the pre-Christian winter solstice festival. Yule is also known as Alban Arthan and was one of the “Lesser Sabbats” of the Wiccan year in a time when ancient believers celebrated the rebirth of the Sun God and days with more light. December 25 was the pagan celebration of the rebirth of the sun god. Emperor Constantinople in order to unite a nation of pagans and christians merged the celebration of the pagans and their sun god with a celebration of the christians and their son of God. This took place annually around the time of the December solstice and lasted for 12 days. The Lesser Sabbats fall on the solstices and equinoxes. What is more important? To continue to pretend that our Savior was born on December 25th to negate the pagan celebration of the winters soltice or to change from the man made traditions and celebrate his actual birth date which is astronomically proven to be on Sept 11th, 3 bc? Again it comes down to the accuracy of the truth of Gods word versus man made traditions. The truth is available and it can be proven from scripture and astronomical occurrences which are in the scriptures. The choice is up to each and every individual to decide which is more important. As for me and my house we know that our Lord was born in early to mid September according to the scriptures and the astronomical displays that God used to announce the birth of His only begotten Son are set mathmatically and scientifically. Jesus Christ never was the reason for the season and as important as his birth was to the salvation of mankind it would stand to reason that we would want to be as accurate as possible concerning his birth. https://youtube/watch?v=9wiLnX7SduQ
