Decided to post once more. I can say that in 6 days we met exactly zero rude or snobby Parisians, French, or any Europeans. Some rude tourists, yes, in their self-centered hurried world. Baffled at how this mythic stereotype came to be. We found warmth & eagerness to help & patience as I practiced my French, and a people who actually slow down enough to enjoy each other. Thousands would relax in parks or along Seine River or streets, usually with wine & mini picnics (and very few glued to iPhones) all times of day. Chad befriended the Martenbergers (Swiss family) below...fantastic folks.
