Decided with the heat again I will have a crack at some tarpon on light gear. 6lb sufix and 6lb leader. A quick look around and I could see some small bait fish around so went to my soft plastic folder and took out a tactical fishing mad mullet rigged it up and 2 cast later a nice healthy tarpon. With the blood pumping. Re rigged and after about 15 casts a huge boil behind my plastic. Quick cast back into the same area and the line screams off. With a huge tail walk on the surface. And a 5min fight another tarpon was landed. By this time there was heaps of surface active so I belted out another cast and the line scream. We on again this time the fish screamed for the deep. With a few jumps and some chasing another landed. few quick snaps and they were released to fight another day. All this with cars zooming by. We live in a great place. Where else can u walk 30m belt out a cast and your on.
