Decision taken by CM Omar Abdullah and its effect on general line teachers. GülÇhåìñ Bålì to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir With humble submission i want to bring ur attention on the decision taken by CM Omar Abdullah and his cabinet and its effect on general line teachers. 1. Rets are selected on village level and general line teachers are selected at state and district level competition. 2. Nearly 25000 Evs selected on 10th basis promoted as Rets in 2008 will be seniors of all the general line teachers selected after 2008 Who are well qualified at least graduates. 3. General line teachers cannot study for first three years of their job whereas no such restriction for Rets. 4. General line teachers have studied as regular students after competing for limited seats in different colleges whereas most of Rets who were selected on 10th basis have studied through distance education and through such universities through correspondence where even exams are conducted after 8pm in the evening. 5 . Inclusion of 5 years service benefit to Rets no regrets but that should not be at the cost of general line teachers future. 6 There must be some kind of departmental exam for promotion as a result of which only those teachers who are intelligent will get promotion. Or 7.There must be separate quota for Rets and general line teachers. 8. Rets were selected on need basis so transfer policy for them means the schools will be left teacher less.. So the b transfer policy should be such that Ret post should be replaced by Ret teacher and transfer policy should be only for ladies who face problems because of their marriages in other villages. No transfer policy for males as they are selected to work in their own villages . so its a request sir. Mr. CM. plz take necessary action as it is the need of the hour otherwise we will left with one option that is to knock the door of court which will lead to wastage of time and money.
