Declaring this as a quiet space. No political comment today - just a quiet space. Come sit on the bench, or walk by the water- sit quietly - any room, any where can become a quiet space if you simply take Jesus hand, hold it, (His Word is like His hand so take a bible verse and hold on to it), take an attribute of Christ the Saviour, the Prince of Peace, and just gaze deeply into His Word. Sit in silence, unless you want some music. One at a time, place your cares in the scar bearing hands of Christ Jesus, one by one give Him Pakistan, her cities, her towns, her villages, her corridors of power, the places of corruption that we despise, the blood shed that we grieve over, the fear that tries to rule over us, the hunger for power that is driving so many. If you want to make political comment, the world of Face book is your oyster. Here I invite you share your prayers for Pakistan, your dreams for Pakistan, your hopes for Pakistan- even your fears and let us just give them into the hands of the One who has redeemed and the One who continues to create and heal and reconcile. For every prayer you post here, I will join in taking it to Jesus. Scripture tells us that His peace passes all understanding. May His peace encourage you, still your heart and fill you with His strength to walk tall and into the days that lie ahead, hand in His hand and stride surrendered to His. If you see a post here, please join in taking it to Jesus. If you do not pray to Jesus, I still invite you to place your prayer here, because I would like to share your burden and take it to the One I know and trust most with my life, with your life, my country and your country. Even 5 minutes of silence with the Lord, maker of heaven, earth and life, redeemer of heaven, earth and life, and sustainer of heaven, earth and life, will make a difference. You are not alone.
