Dedicated to the Stevens High Graduating Class of 2014 ~ I have a wedding ceremony to perform for a former graduate of Stevens, which will take place at exactly the same time as you ride proudly on your float today ... else I would be in front of Rite-Aid as I have traditionally been , for years , cheering you on ! I know you dont have to be told what you all have meant to me these past four years...and will continue to mean to me.. I will always be here for you. You have been a special class , the 12th at Stevens , (out of my 36 years in the field of education ) that I would have witnessed taking that next step to your future success . The beauty I always found in my vocation as a substitute teacher lies in the fact that having served all of the classes both in the core building, as well as all at the Tech Center, I know every one of you,. and have been privileged to watch both your struggles and triumphs in your endeavors. I also had many of your parents in the kindergarten... and actually are witnessing some of those students that were my 6th graders become grandparents. It has been quite a journey for all of us .Sometimes painful, but most often joyous!
