Dedicating “A Conversation With God” to all my friends and family, “Fourth of August”. Fourth of August, my birthday came and is now gone But the honour you did on that day lingers on And you, who said a “hi” here or a “hello” there I’m touched and now as all along, I know you care I had an awesome conversation with my God With His blood and His life, my life, my Saviour bought Humbly I seek His face on a daily basis His eternal blessings flow; limitless oasis! Oh what a year; let us celebrate its passing Life’s uncertain; we know not what the morrow brings Danced with death; the bucket I could have kicked So, here’s my conversation with God, just last week My biological birth, Fourth of August. As You show me my purpose and my worth I have been blessed not just on my birthday But by friends, family You sent my way Counting my blessings, I thank You anew FAMiLY: “Father And Mother, i Love You” My FAMILY, a huge part of my life My son, my daughters and oh, my dear wife. My life just crossed another full circle “Common To Uncommon”, life’s articles. May millions be empowered, impassioned Through the many mistakes and life’s lessons Got invited to speak to multitudes On Radio, TV and soon on You Tube DWDD, Ninety-Three Point Eight ABS-CBN; the rest I wait In the churches and business gatherings In droves they came to hear the good tidings How to move from squatter to millionaire And from condemned sinner to heaven’s heir This book’s not the end but the beginning The second-half awaits, its beckoning Thank You, Lord; as the next book I embark Oh what glory and oh how great Thou art In fifty-two years; four near-death traumas It’s one miracle after another “How could he survive?”, the doctors were sharp Except You had countered, “His time’s not up” Thank You, Father God, for another year Your holy presence be felt ever near Without You, I am nought, I remember But with you, I move and the world wonders “I can do all things through Christ”, we are told No wonder my friends say, “You are so bold” The secret is not what or who I am. But the supreme sacrifice of the Lamb One day, two thousand years ago, it goes You gave Your Son- Christ lived, died and arose His life, He gave, that die I may never “Oh the glory, oh the joy!”, I utter I was once a sinner, condemned, unclean Lost, guilt-ridden, ashamed, my life had been Until I, though unworthy as I was Was found by You and I’m no longer lost Good Friday night, Nineteen Seventy-Three I saw my Saviour hanging from the tree Torn-crowned, nail-pierced hands and feet, what a sight For my sins, how painful a death, You died Had it not been Your mercy and Your grace Eternal damnation I’ll have to face But You died, paid the price, my sin atoned Now I know I am Yours and Yours alone Today, as any other day thenceforth I sing Your mercies and goodness so oft This temporal world will one day perish But life eternal I claim, as promised Everlasting life is not just for me But for all who are willing, who believe Go and find some Christian friends and ask them “Can I know what Andrew’s talking and when? Find the true meaning of the love of God For God so loved us; He forgets us not While we were sinners, He chooses, He dies “Not my will, but Thine be done” were his cries The finite mind can never comprehend My Father’s love as He stretched out His hand “Come unto me”, screamed throughout the ages “Follow Him”, the world needs no more sages. “Fourth of August” was inspired while huddled alone in a small little room, somewhere at 12th Avenue, Barangay Socorro Murphy, Cubao, Quezon City, Central Luzon, Philippines on 3th and 5th August 2014, in between my 56th birthday
