Deep Roots Reveal Great Fruits! Being planted is necessary for proper growth. Without stable and consistent teaching we quickly lose our stability. When the time of circumstance and storms come rushing in we are quickly swept away. As a new Christian I found myself seeking stability within the church. I also found many things and issues that I later could not agree with, but I am glad for what the church did for me. God used the church and the fellowship of like faith believers to help me learn and grow Spiritually. The teaching and preaching of the Word that came consistently developed within me a fire that was uncontainable even to this very day. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost in me as the Church. No roots, no growth! Jesus taught a parable about the seed and the sower. There we can still find the understanding as to why we need deep Spiritual roots. Paul knew and understood this teaching and elaborated on it as well. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 KJV Mark 4:14-20 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the words sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
