Deep Tunnel Storm Water Management Project: Eastbound Lawrence Open Crews have reopened eastbound Lawrence at Lavergne. Im sure the reopening is a relief to all of those impacted. The parking lane on the south side of Lawrence still remains closed, as well as Lavergne just south of Lawrence. Those closures will continue through the project end of the project in December 2015. The closure will allow for the construction of a 230-foot drop shaft that will tie local sewers directly into the Deep Tunnel storm water management system. This work should improve sewer drainage for thousands of homes in Jefferson Park. Crews have closed Avondale and Lavergne, and Lavergne just north of Montrose, for the project. Those closures are also expected to continue through December 2015. Please allow extra time and follow the posted detour.
