Deep, and somewhat emotional post.. and reflective, perhaps I reflect about YOU? Its not everyday you get to say goodbye to a person who was a good person who inspired you. RIP Alan Henry Alan a man of integrity, a man who understood values, a man who I was proud to call my pal...... He would have had a smile to himself at some of the folk who turned up at his funeral today, or as we called them in the living world... Kippers!! 2 faced and gutless.... me and Alan would scratch our heads and ask why did folk have to be so evil and cruel.... Like I said when I learnt of his passing, he was the man who nominated me as Captain, and those at Falkland Golf Club who had watched the club get stolen from, and abused over the years, it was an awful time, but Alan, and Lorna, helped me as did others like Bert, Helen and indeed Nick Gunster! :) Im not bothered what folk say, between Bert and I, and with the help of Lorna and Alan, we saved that club from going bust..... and with one of the greatest young people I have ever met in Nick (who I raised a glass for today) we didnt do a bad job... Its been a few weeks like that, some folk turned up today and couldnt even talk to me today or look me in the eye, who I considered friends, does my crew cut scare folk off, or because Im someone who gets up of my arse and does what he says? What is it about? What is life about? Why are people so lazy? Why do people judge you before getting to know you? Alan mate, you were an amazing bloke, Im just so sad that the living world continues to prove what a bunch of despicable bunch youve left behind, folk are self centered idiots.... on the whole.... Nowt queerer than folk they say from my parts, and by crikey, in the past few weeks Alan, youd have been bamboozled by what Ive been subjected to.... Respect to Alan Henry, loved the man, and loved everything he stood for
