(Deep breath) Hello! I have spoken to the Hotel today and confirmed the rooms for the Guests, to make sure they have somewhere to stay before you all book your accommodation. Unfortunately, as the Events Manager is unavailable, they wont be able to confirm those until the end of the week. So, the Discount Code email wont be sent out until the weekend (or possibly next week, depending on how quick they get back to me). I cant apologise enough. When I was told this on the phone, I think my shocked silence worried them and I did ask why it should take so long to put aside rooms under the conventions name but I gather its because it has to be signed off by about three people before it happens. So, partly my fault (I thought theyd just do it there and then today) and partly the Hotels slowness. Im not giving a date but I will give 24 hours warning on Facebook when I can send the email out.
