Deeply saddened to learn that a good childhood friend is now facing 15 to 20 years in prison for over 20 animal cruelty charges. He was one of the two ministers at my former husbands memorial, played piano at it also. He had people attending and people praying for me all over the world. He listened and prayed with me in the hard times. He was a missionary overseas, author, music director, pastor in various states, played piano all over the world, a cyber minister, had hugely successful companies he started, 4 great kids who seemed his life. He left it all now to go on the run. His well groomed, loved dog were in shows all over the country, which makes this even more shocking. Who would have guessed this. I dont know what could have happened this year. I remember him worried sick when one of his collies hurt herself, and he was thinking of taking her to a Birmingham emergency vet late at night to get her help. I do not understand this now. My prayers go out to his family who is suffering. I pray that God will lay His hands upon Nic and that he be given a fair trial, receive just punishment for the horrific deaths of those pure bred loveable show dogs, and that God move in his life and get him to turn himself in to the police. The one thing positive that might can someday come out of all this is that God give him a powerful testimony to share with others so others can learn from this tragedy and his neglect. I pray that that can happen years from now. He let all his talent and potential go to waste. My heart goes out to his family and to his surviving dogs that they find homes. Ive seen so many people be fake Christians going to church Sundays, then not living it out in their own lives once they walk out the church building ... then some who have been Christians forget to rely on God and turn from Him. Brother Vince Lee has preached sermons on this. It is a sad fact that these issues exist. Friends, be praying for the family, especially Nics children, and the 10 surviving collies.
