Dees Blog Well I had my Council inspection of our facility on Thursday but unfortunately we wont know the outcome till the new year as council closes this week until the 5th Jan 2015. I think they were impressed but didnt share any thoughts or opinions other than they need to weigh up the complaints from the idiots (next door to the right) and her (parents 3 doors the other way). My terminology not councils. I was crushed to receive a letter from the DLG advising us they have rejected our 16d application due to Cessnock City Council ongoing investigation. This application was put in 6 months ago. Should we win, we have to put another application in and go back to the drawing board. Well merry Xmas to you CCC and our neighbours! A 16d allows rescues to rescue animals from the pounds without having to register them for 12 months. This gives rescues plenty of time to rehome without added burdens of registration costs. Whilst I am truly devastated at what lengths the neighbours have gone to try to stop us from saving animals I have to say I feel sorry for them. Why because pathetic and selfish people miss out on the joy of saving a animal, the love they give you and the gratitude of knowing you saved them. Not to mention seeing the faces of the people who have picked their forever furbaby. They are just sad sad sad Whilst this is a little setback we will continue to go forward. With the help of Socares (Society of Companion Animal Rescuers) we can continue to utilise their 16d to rescue. The battle is far from over in our eyes and would love to say a big thank you to NARGA (National Animal Rescue Group of Australia) and Socares for standing with us. As well as our loyal supporters ❤️❤️❤️❤️
