Defeat Your Flaws “For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13 Today it’s time to free yourself from that voice that says, “I can’t do this” or “I am just tired”. Despite your many flaws in life, God’s unique creation, (you), were created by Him to be great and to do greater things. The way I combat that voice is with scripture and by claiming who I am in Christ. When it says I can’t, I tell it, “I can do all things through Christ”. When it says God can’t use me because of my past, I say, “I’ve been forgiven, it’s been forgotten and I’ve been redeemed”. Most of the time we are our own worst enemy. Those who know me will know that I’m my own worst critic. I see and know all my flaws better than anyone else. We all do our best to cover up our flaws so that no one sees them. But we know that they’re still there. It’s time to defeat our flaws through the power of the Holy Spirit by starting to confess our faith when we notice our shortcomings. Stop using excuses to keep yourself from doing greater things. Stop allowing other people’s flaws to hold you back from who you were created to be. When you look in the mirror, hope not to see yourself. But what then? Hope to see the Christ in you and the beauty of His holiness. Begin to stare at the image of capability and determination and not self-doubt! Whatever our flaws are and no matter how bad our past is, we can’t let the enemy use those to keep us from being and doing something great. “You’ve got the wrong person devil”.
