Defence Postal and Courier Services Veterans’ Association (Former Life Association Membership of the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess Inglis Barracks Mill Hill LONDON NW7 1PX) Celebrated 40 Years in Reunion 2013. • THE CHARTER MEMBERSHIP RE WRAC & RLC who served with the Defence Postal and Courier Services may apply for membership of the Association. Those who served as above may join on written application to the Secretary for consideration of the Committee. Details of service are to be contained in the letter of application. Applications will be accepted by electronic mail. Any member of the any Arm of The Armed Services, who served and was closely, associated with the Defence Postal and Courier Services either in an operational environment or socially, may join as an associate member, with voting rights. • FACEBOOK GROUP • This has been set up for some time now and anyone who meets the criteria, as set out above, may apply to join. Please share your memories and photographs. No Political and Religious comments & no profanity. No cost just your posts, comments and photographs. ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION • Currently set at £15.00. Direct debit may be set up & paid into the funds of the association in June. Alternatively pay by cheque by end of June each year. Dining members for our main function in October are asked to ensure their subscriptions are up to date. DRESS CODE Dress code for functions and the AGM will be notified in newsletters. COMMITTEE The Committee will consist of: - President Chairman Secretary Treasurer & any volunteers specific to a function task. • ACCOUNTS • The Committee has full authority of expenditure towards the cost of the Annual Reunion. The annual statement of accounts may be subject to internal audit, and is to be produced by 31 December each year following the Annual Reunion. • ANNUAL REUION • This is held during the first full weekend in October each year and currently takes place in Goole East Yorkshire. 2015 will be our 10th year in Goole, since we moved away from Mill Hill. • ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. • This is presided over by the President and Chairman of the Association and the standard agenda is: 1. PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS. 2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS AGM. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT. 4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT. 5. COMMITTEE DISSOLUTION. 6. COMMITTEE ELECTION. 7. PROPOSALS. 8. ANY OTHER BUSINESS. Minutes are to be recorded by the Secretary. Once a proposal is made, any member may speak from the floor. Those who choose to speak are only allowed to do so once on any matter raised. A copy of the minutes may be made available, on request from any member, from the Secretary.
