Defender says Mansfield reaction shows character It says a lot about the character in our squad that we won’t be happy with anything less than three points" Sonny Bradley There was a dressing room post-mortem following last week’s draw at Mansfield. A frank and open discussion was held about how Pompey had let slip their lead to leave with only a point. Sonny Bradley is pleased that his team-mates are not content to settle for draws on the road. And he hopes the Blues can return to winning ways when they host high-flying Chesterfield on Saturday. The defender said: “There were a few arguments after the game because we were disappointed not to win. “That’s good because it shows the players care and it’s never anything personal. We just want to win games. “But if we’d got a point away from home where I was last year, we’d have been happy and had music on in the changing room. “It says a lot about the character in our squad that we won’t be happy with anything less than three points. “We’re looking forward to Saturday’s game and hoping to get back to winning ways. We want to try to make Fratton Park a fortress. “We’ve looked at Chesterfield and know what they’re about. We’ve been working hard in training on how to stop them playing and break them down.” Bradley’s main focus is on stopping goals, but he also wants to provide a threat at the other end of the pitch. He said: “My mates keep telling me they’re betting on me. I probably should have had a hat-trick before half-time at Accrington. “I’ve set a target for myself this season and my height and ability to head the ball means I should be able to contribute. “You can’t just look at the strikers for goals – the whole team has to contribute.” Read more at portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/bradley-we-wont-settle-1023780.aspx#HM1BZuu5yyymWuDB.99
