Defending Commissioner’s Cup champion Purefoods Star will be without another big man – at least for the first week of the conference. Already without the injured Ian Sangalang and with the smallest import in Marqus Blakely, the Hotshots will also miss Yousef Taha, who was sanctioned by the Office of the Commissioner for his gross unsportsmanlike behavior during the Purefoods – Rain or Shine tuneup game last Friday, January 23. For throwing six punches at a virtually defenseless ROS import Rick Jackson as they jockeyed for rebounding position, Taha was suspended for two games and fined P60,000. Taha will miss Purefoods’ games against GlobalPort on Friday and against Alaska Tuesday next week. Left to patrol the middle for the Hotshots are veterans Rafi Reavis and Mick Pennisi with Marc Pingris and Blakely helping them out. pba.inquirer.net/53073/taha-suspended-fined?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook
