Defense Minister Sven Mikser said Russias decision to move some of its Belarus-based fighter aircraft close to the Lithuanian border was no surprise. This has been on the radar for defense policy planners all this time and it is not much of a surprise for us, Mikser said on ERR radio about the step, reported in Postimees today, to move at least one 24-strong regiment of Sukhoi SU-27SM3 planes to Baranovich and Lida airfields 35 km from the border.
