Definitely a good piece for emerging artists to read. I personally experienced some of these blunders while attending solo shows of my work. One time, an artist cornered me for a long time, spent the entire time talking about his work and then asked me to put in a good word for him with my gallerist. Uh, no. Not after that behavior. I try to be very supportive of other artists, but I found that behavior to be shockingly rude.
