Definitely not minimizing the importance of a dad in a childs life but Ive found over the years that the nurturing and love of a mother is an invaluable asset. Even if you are not with your childs mother, as in my case, it is so important to continue to reinforce that bond between child and mother and IF she is doing her best than to constantly give her positive feedback so that she will not only feel appreciated but motivated as well.
