Definitely one of the best weekend vacations of my life. . Did everything you can do in NYC and saw so much. As I am leaving the city I cant help but think of the recent riots coming from the I cant breathe incident. But during my time here and learning of the two police officers that were murdered so close to where we were. Where are the riots and outbreak of injustice? Were they not of a different ethnicity so we cant social and politically point the finger?? With just the day before one of his brothers and co-workers being brutally killed by hate I watched a NYC police officer help a homelessman up the stairs, pull cash out of his own wallet and give the man food, I was so touched seeing this and thinking geeze there is homeless people everywhere around here, how often does this officer do this... so of course after the officer hugs the man and says tonight you can sleep with a full stomach. I walk over to the officer shake his hand and ask how often do you do this.. his response is as often as I can, my job is to protect and serve! :) I said I am so sorry to hear of your brother in arms loss, he looked down and whept he said that was more than a fellow brother in arms he was my family! With no hate in his heart, with no retaliation running through his veins and after facing all of that he says this is my job!! Shouldnt that be the job of all of us..
