Del Griffith, (John Candy) An absolute gent and a star. Man thank god your on film coz every so often i need you to brighten my world. What a great scene from plans trains and automobiles featuring Dels awesome speech. At some point this festive season I shall spirit myself off to a quiet corner and chuckle away to this film. But then every so often at scenes such as this get just a little pang. Go on click on this youtube clip and watch one of my favourite film scenes. The wonderful use of The Dream Academys music Power to Believe just adds to the brillness :-) The build up to the argument coz Del is irritating, the scene cuts to Neil Paiges (Steve martin) wife waiting for him to return, just wonderfully done. Del Griffith speech: You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. Im an easy target. Yeah, youre right, I talk too much. I also listen too much.
