Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) will be conducting a POD (Point of Distribution) exercise for Kent County on Wednesday, September 17 at the Camden Fire Hall. The purpose of the exercise is to practice the distribution of essential items to the public during an emergency. The exercise includes the set-up of a distribution area and placement of supplies into actual vehicles as they drive through the distribution area. It is important that participants learn how to create a safe flow of traffic, with efficient distribution. The first 100 vehicles to come to the Camden Fire Hall and drive through our POD exercise on Wednesday, between 9:30am and 11am, will receive a case of water and an MRE, as well as our thanks for participating. The goal is not to distribute large quantities of free water, but to practice the techniques that would be used in an emergency to get needed supplies to the public.
