Dele Sir, I imagined that yours truly will read something else - TopicsExpress

Dele Sir, I imagined that yours truly will read something else today in your column. I will mention it shortly. Permit me to observe that you write with authority concerning Akwa Ibom State, and unlike Ribadu or Femi Fani Kayode, you dont change friends easily. Governor Attah is your friend no doubt - but your population theory of winning elections in Akwa Ibom runs counter to Nigerian context. In this country - the sitting Governors side wins everything, votes can be purchased or rigged outright - unless of course you are a Christian Governor (like Fayemi) ruling a Muslim populated State. Your brothers will vote against you, if your party is not in power and providing stomach infrastructure. Ribadu demystified powerful corruption, including his IG Tafa Balogun, nearly all the Governors he went after had corruption case to answer. States lost money with both Enron and Econet deals - with or without judicial pronouncement, and Attah was not a saint. But one truth stands in his name under the sun - Attah is the father of Resource Control in ways that pained Cross River State, favoured all South South States long term, and benefited Akwa Ibom the most long-term. Femi Fani Kayode has been prophetic about Boko Haram , sincere about inbuilt Jihadist agenda - in Nigerian politics, and open about where he stands on issues. Please write next week about the exemplary patriotism of Lt Col Adebayo Obasanjo. He put his life on the line for Nigeria - where the sons of past and present political rulers put their lives into huge oil subsidy fraud, in looting State treasury - or managing huge family real estate business in Dubai. Help me call on Nigerians to urge the Army Council and Mr President to quickly decorate Lt Col Adebayo Obasanjo for exemplary patriotism, and follow this up with sending all children of rich past or present politicians still in Army Officer uniform to the battle front in Sambisa forest. I hear Col Obasanjo is itching to go back to the battle front after discharge from the hospital. Please write that he be promoted and decorated - for dignifying his fathers name and that of his fatherland Nigeria. I am your truly, Chimdindu Eben Osuagwu (64 years old. Email: chimdindu@yahoo). May Dele Live long!
