Deleted a post not because I dont agree with what I wrote, but because it was pointed out that the intended discussion of a topic at a societal, not personal, level was impossible in this forum. The personal nature to which people took an opinion that was based on experience (of all sides) meant it couldnt result in the type of discussion where anything productive came from it. Edit: It was MY fault for not remembering how a person in the midst of suffering will read everything as tainted a particular way and although I am sad we cant have this discussion (because my own experience says it is a very valuable discussion that has to happen), I acknowledge that this is likely not ever going to be the forum for it.
