Delhi BJP to hold 70 meetings of seven MPs, former MLAs Eyeing victory in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, BJP has chalked out a strategy to hold 70 meetings to be addressed by citys MPs and former presidents in the next three days. As many as 200 MPs had held corner meetings (nukkad-sabhas) from December 1 to 20 although party had to face flak over the communal remarks made by Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti during one of these public meetings in Dwarka. We have planned to hold 70 meetings in the next three days starting tomorrow in all partys 14 districts. Such meetings will be addressed by all seven MPs of the city, former party presidents, including Vijay Goel and former MLAs, said a senior BJP leader. He said that Delhi-BJP incharge Prabhat Jha and state party president Satish Upadhyay will also address public meetings. As Delhi heads for Assembly elections, partys election preparation is in full swing. These meetings have been planned in view of AAPs chief Arvind Kejriwal and candidates holding various public meetings every day, he said. According to the party, 30 meetings have been planned for Sunday in three Assembly constituencies. Party leaders also said that panna pramukh strategy, which was also used in three Assembly elections in Gujarat, will be adopted by the Delhi BJP. Party has asked panna prabharis of the voter list to focus on approximately 50 voters each. Each prabhari was given responsibility for a panna – which means a page, but in this case referred to a page in the electoral rolls. BJP national president Amit Shah had on December 25 visited Delhi BJP office and took stock of election preparations. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP claimed that its Facebook page is more popular than the pages of any political party in country. The page of Delhi BJP is being accessed bt about 25 lakh people regularly. It is the specialty of the partys social media campaign that it is a positive campaign and there is no adverse comment against any person or party on this page. The number of persons liking our page is scientifically proved, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said.
