Delhi High Court judgement What in the world are the learned judges thinking ? Just when you thought we cannot stoop any lower the eminent judiciary shows the way.....in the most disgusting way possible. Where are the strongest protest rallies that are in evidence against KOL or otherwise. Not only women but all learned Indian should ensure that the judgment is revised and the criminal should serve additional punishment even if death penalty cannot be enforced. The assault on women, girls,babies goes on unabated.....theres not even a sham of protection or legal redressal. Instead of blaming the victim and turn everything into titillating news/stories can the civil society raise fundamental questions? Why should men or anyone should be inclined or emboldened to assault women because of the attire? If its reduced to brutal display of power, should all girls carry guns or bobbit the hell outta the assaulters? Should the parents turn vigilante or educate their sons better? Is this one of the effective ways of subjugation by state/vested interests as victims are most of the time are poor and Dalits ? The country where mother/sister sentiment is strongest right through ages, cornerstone of Bollywood and touted as part of our unique culture....how can it be so oppressive and brutal? We are all a bunch of hypocrites and thugs ....no less. Whats happening to cases reported in Hitech city and snake gang? Whats the delay even when the evidence is so clear? Such rampant assaults and on such a mindbogglingly regular basis cannot be pushed under the carpet.....this is the deeper malady of complete indifference, focus on self to the exclusion of everything else.
