Delhi gangrape convicts appeal in HC: Two of the four convicts, facing death sentence in the sensational December 16 Delhi gangrape case, moved Delhi High Court challenging their conviction and sentence. Vinay Sharma and Akshaya Thakur contended that the evidence on record has not been properly appreciated by the trial court and they have been the victims of media trial. In a related development, counsel for the other two, Mukesh and Pawan Gupta, today withdrew from the case and refused to defend the convicts.
