Deliverance Hour: ABIDE "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. " (John 15:5). Read Psalm 91:1-13 Your spiritual and physical well being depend on your closeness to the lord. You can only experience victory if you abide in him. David told Abiathar to abide with him. When Christians abide with Christ, what we gain is more than security. Of course, we get security according to Psalm 91:1-13 that says He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. When you abide under the shadow of the Almighty, no evil will come near your dwelling place. You will not be afraid of the arrows that are flying by day or the pestilence going about in the night. You will just be observing how others are suffering because you are abiding. In Psalm 1:1-3 the Bible says those who abide will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. Everything they do shall prosper. In Psalm 92:13-14, the Bible says Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They would be flourishing like the palm tree. Even in old age, they would still be producing fruits. When you abide, you will flourish. In Psalm 23:6 David said "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." In other words, if you abide under the shadow of the Almighty, goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. If you are not yet born again, you are in danger. There is an enemy out there seeking to destroy you and there is only one fellow who can deal with the enemy. His Name is Jesus Christ. The only way He would deal with those enemies is if you belong to Him. If you do not belong to Him and you ask Him to help you, He will say you are none of His, you would be left to deal with the enemy on your own. * Pray that God should give you the grace to abide. *Pray for the Church that everyone should learn to abide in God too.
