Delivered my latest guest lecture at Jacksonville University earlier this week, had a great time talking to a class in Green Societies about the sharp turn toward sustainability in the field of stormwater management. :) Next up, for a different class, will be a talk about the US Green Building Council and their LEED building rating system (LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.) Great chance for a Druid like me to share his convictions and channel the Green Man! :) Whats the difference between witchcraft and Druidry? In a nutshell, they worked at opposite ends of society - witches in villages under cover, and Druids in castles counseling kings and clan chiefs. The Druids were the most educated men of their day, but they were essentially wiped out with paganism as part of its visible face. Witchcraft survived, if more in folklore than in substance, because of their more secretive ways. Its fun and encouraging that both traditions inspire folks today to reinvent and reimagine the old ways, creating new spiritual paths in the process. There are 9,000,000 Names Of God, and more ways than that to find fulfillment and meaning in life!
