Delivery of mail Mail delivery in the greater East Rand area are expected to be inconsistent for a period of approximately three weeks as the SA Post Office operations in this area are experiencing a carry-over backlog of about 1.3 million items. The cause of this backlog is labor shortages. Whilst mail delivery operations in this area (East Rand) have been normalised, customers should still expect some delays as a result of the backlog and the skeleton mail delivery staff at our disposal. We apologise to all our customers for any inconvenience caused by this situation, and assure you that the SA Post Office is expediting contingency measures to minimize its impact.
