Delmarva is beautiful no matter the season! For those of us who grew up and live on the shore, the picturesque landscape is sometimes taken for granted, however, whenever I have to drive across the bridge, I am reminded of how lucky I am to not have to run the rat race around the beltways on a daily basis and be surrounded by the concrete jungle that is the megalopolis! Take a few seconds to notice the pleasant surroundings on your next drive. I took these photos in about an hour during a short drive in Southern Wicomico County, near Allen and Siloam, all less than 4 miles from my house. Im not well traveled but I think there are few places where you can see, deer in the field, geese on a frozen creek, a great blue heron on the marsh, black-headed vultures pitched on a roof, mallard ducks paddling in the creek, winter robins in the field, an eagle in flight, water flowing from a frozen pond over a spillway under a country bridge and beautiful horse farms in such close proximity. Maybe Heaven will look something like this.
