We will fight for opportunities for the youth. In South Africa today Iearners leave school without the skills they need in the workplace. Youth unemployment in South Africa is among the highest in the world. A lack of student funding is keeping young people from furthering education and training. Too many rules and regulations make it very difficult for entrepreneurs to get businesses off the ground. We, as the DA Youth do not accept this and we will fight it. We will fight for free higher education for all qualifying matriculants. We will fight for internships for young people so that they can develop skills and gain experience through the youth wage subsidy. We will fight youth unemployment and put pressure on the government to create more jobs for young people.
