Democrats are in a furor that Congress would meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu. The White House claimed it was a breech of protocol to meet with a foreign official this close to a countrys elections. Liberals of Facebook are defending Obamas refusal to meet with Netanyahu and (not surprisingly) screaming treason and demanding that John Boehner be immediately removed from office for this obvious outrage. But before they fancy themselves informed and erudite - they might want to develop more than just barely a nodding acquaintance with the facts, because they either forgot or hope WE forgot about Bill Clinton meeting with Israels PM - Shimon Peres in 1996 just prior to the Israel elections at that time. (John Kerry Obamas head diplomat called him a Chickensit Coward) The president has made his disdain for Israel quite plain on numerous occasions and his sympathy for Islam (which has self identified as being genocidally anti-Semitic) is codified in Obamas own memoirs. . Congress reaching out to Israel is essential diplomacy. The anti-Israel rhetoric and condescension coming from the Obama administration does NOT reflect the will of the majority of Americans. ALL people of conscience and clear reasoning support Israel. The only people standing against Israel are neo-nazis, terrorists, and terrorist sympathizers (and they are not shy about self identifying.) . It should not continue to surprise us when liberals insult and attack Israel. They are who they are, and always have been. They dont speak for the vast, overwhelming majority of informed, conscionable Americans ,and thankfully - Netanyahu is a smart enough statesman to know that.
