Democrats controlled both houses of Congress in 2007. They cut College Loan interest rates to gain student support for the 2008 election but set them to double after 2012 election. The Republican House passed a bill to keep rates from rising but Reid blocked the Democrat Senate from stopping the rise and Democrats left DC to allow the increase. Democrats only care about Political Power, not We the People.
