Democrats took control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate for the first time in a dozen years in the 2006 midterm elections, and President Bush and top Democrats quickly promised to get along despite a rancorous campaign. But they didnt. It ended in partisanship, more war and death and a wrecked economy. And then the Dems took the White House and both bodies of Congress and... Well, you see how that worked out. No one should be gloating about elections or living in fear and praying to God about what some dumbass politician might do. The GOP aint gonna do shit and the Democrats will do even less. How long people? How long before we accept that the two-party system is a joke and we are the ball in a billionaires ping pong game? How long will we hold on to hate and failed ideology while blaming the other side for their hate and failed ideology? I do not know but I do know this: If we do not rise to the best of who we are, we will surely fall to the worst of it. You may quote me.
