Dennis Michael Lynch: Last night Mary and I spent the evening at the Waldorf Astoria. We were invited guests of Newsmax. Getting into the city was a nightmare. First we scrambled around Long Island dropping off our kids with friends and relatives. Then we hit all sort of holiday traffic -- the rain and protestors didnt help any. We when arrived at the front desk we were told our room was upgraded at no additional charge. We didnt think much of it -- pretty standard practice if rooms are overbooked, not ready, etc. Being sarcastic, I asked the lady if our upgrade included a KING bed. She replied, Yes Mr Lynch, it has a KING bed and a whole lot more. When we got to the 33rd floor we knew we were in for something special. Moments after we arrived a lady knocked on the door and asked if we would like our Waldorf slippers laid out and the bed turned down. I looked at her and said, No thanks, thats not us. The lady smiled. I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable evenings Ive had in years. Mary and I couldnt stop laughing when we saw the room. I had to make a video for you all. On a side note, we met so many great people last night at the Newsmax event. My favorite part of the evening can be seen at the end of the video. Its when I call the main desk to ask of Obama ever stays in my room.
