Dennis ODonnell--At the 49ers ribbon cutting ceremony today, NFL big shot Roger Goodell suggested the Raiders share the 49ers stadium. This, of course, makes sense on all fronts. a. The Oakland Coliseum is a cesspool. b. The precedent was set by the NY Giants/NY Jets c. NFL Games go from 10 to 20 per season, including preseason d. graphics, pictures, banners can be switched to silver/black. In regards to the PSLs that 49er fans had to pay, the Raiders could sell them as well. But PSLs are a based on a simple economic theory: Supply and demand. Since the stadium is already constructed and financed, the Raiders PSLs would be priced on demand, not necessity of construction costs. They could even be flexible licenses, depending on the long-term future of the Raiders if the deal didnt work out. The point is, the heavy lifting is already done. Raider fans should dump their egos at Gate A and make a deal that makes sense in every conceivable way.
