Denny Cormier: The Palestinians in Gaza have experienced 3 attacks by Israel in the last 5 years - today is the anniversary of Operation Cast Lead - the first of these three - that began in late December 2008. During this Israeli operation thousands were killed and injured in Gaza. Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian human rights activist and writer, kept a daily diary of his experiences and reflections during the operation - the diary was later published under the title Restiamo Umani / Stay Human. Restiamo Umani – The Reading Movie was released in 2013. The book is read in its entirety during the film by a human writes activists, family members and Palestinians.
