Dense Breast Law! Yes, it is real and it is important! As you may have guessed, Its Lisa, your friendly neighborhood thermographer. As I have mentioned before, dense breast tissue can interfere with clear mammography imaging. The implications of this are finally being recognized and it has now become law in 15 states (New York included) that physicians must inform women if they do have dense breasts along with the possible risks that can be present. This is actually the original reason I became involved in Thermography. Thermography is particularly indicated for women with dense breasts (and implants) as it is a screening modality that is not diminished by dense tissue. Just one more benefit to add to the list! Thermography is non-invasive, radiation-free, pain-free and risk free! Go Thermography!
