Dental Care is part of the NVAN legislative platform this year, for the first time and I am going to beat the pan loudly in Richmond for seniors who are especially affected. The subject of dentistry and cost is as big as any other medical discussion in this country. You will see a post below this link about what California is doing. I thought this Atlantic article would be a good background as well...to understand how the historic separation happened b/w dental and mainstream medicine...can you say BARBERS?! Yes we have huge medical funding issues across the board in the US for all diseases and wellness...but teeth is as basic as it gets and as we are learning more and more, bacteria, etc. that start in the mouth are a bad bridge to often fatal diseases.
