Dental Day at the Donkey Refuge. Dr. Lenny had nine new arrivals to check and all 9 of the donkeys needed extensive work. Four and a half hours straight of holding a donkeys head so Dr. Lenny can get in to their mouths and grind down the sharp points and level the teeth for proper chewing ability as well as wolf teeth being pulled makes for a pretty sore back for Robert. My 2nd wish for today would be someone to invent a humane squeeze and head rest for these little minis who need their heads held up for the Dentist. Pictured here is the last two donkeys needing work today. Pedro is getting his teeth cared for while Little Lily waits for her turn. Only 50 more donkeys to see the dentist and then we are finished with the regular dental check ups for 2014.
