Deon Edward Melow SIMPLE FAITH & PLAIN TRUTH Ephesians 5:19-20 Sing and make music in your heart to the the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thankfulness takes the fight out of your enemies. That is why God instruct us to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give Him thanks ( regardless of your feelings), and He give you Joy (regardless of your circumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience - at times, blind obedience. To those people who dont know Jesus intimately, it can seem impossible to thank Jesus for heartrending hardships. Nonetheless, those who obey God in this way are invariably blessed, even though difficulties may remain. Thankfulness opens your heart to Gods Presence and your mind to His thoughts. You may still be in the same place, with the same set of circumstances, but it is as if a light has been switched on, enabling you to see from His perspective. It is this Light of His Presence that removes the fight from the enemy. Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of God.
