Deon Edward Melow SIMPLE FAITH & PLAIN TRUTH James 2:15-17 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him,Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? Have you ever noticed how easily people pass a blessing on to one another. Its like its the easiest way to show other people that youre a Christian, and after that you dont have to do anything else. Blessing people became a ritual where you wash your hands in that situation and God must do the work. For many of us Christians this is our first line of ministry and it seems so many got stuck at that line. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. If I say to someone without daily food:Go, I wish you well and may you be well fed.- Do I portray Gods love? This is how we supposed to understand and experience LOVE: Christ sacrifised his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves. If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to Gods LOVE? It disappears. And YOU made it disappear. My dear friends, lets not just talk about love; lets practice real love. This is the only way well know were living in Gods reality.
