Department of Health Post:PATIENT ADMINISTRATION CLERK (4 POSTS) Reference Number:REF-01815 Number of Posts:4 Centre:Far East Rand Hospital Directorate:Administration Salary:R138 345 – 162 963 per annum (plus benefits) Requirements:Grade 12 or 5 years experience in Patient Affairs and Records. Knowledge of Public Financial Management Act (PFMA). Knowledge of policies, Patient Administration and billing (PAAB) system. Knowledge on problem solving and conflict management. Be prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Duties:Supervision of Patient Admissions, medical records and mortuary department. Conduct Performance Management and Development System. Ensure an effective and efficiency patient administration and management of unit. Ensure that cashiers and admission clerks execute their duties timorously and revenue is collected and deposited promptly. Ensure that PAAB system is functional always. Monitor attendance and leave management. Ensure effective and efficiency running of department to improve waiting times. Manage and attend to all Queries pertaining to patient files and complains. Compile and submit monthly reports, apply disciplinary measures when necessary. Ensure that patients are properly classified as per Administrative Procedure Manual and UPFS. Perform any other duties as prescribed by line manager.
