Depending how old you and how you feel about your life, death will have a differing meaning to you. I know people who are ready to die, because they have lived. I know others who are terrified and scared because they are young and want to marry, raise kids, and live. I fault no one for the side they are on, because I believe each of us, as we go through life, will be on many sides at different times. That is why I believe we are way more alike than different. We bleed when we get a cut. We cry when deeply hurt. We like affection and appreciation, and we share commonness in the experience and certainty of death. History shows us this. We are not so different, are we? We die well by living well. Do you prepare for a trip in advance or in the next day by getting your clothes ready, either by thinking or putting them out? Thats living well. Thats readying. When we are committed to living our best, well life, we can feel we have lived, and death is not such a taker or thief to us. -katie
