Deployment Observation Of The Day Brother, you havent lived until youve run the race against time with a stomach full of DFAC chow in a portajohn when its 100-120F outside - meaning its easily 30 degrees hotter inside... When you finally come out, beaten, dehydrated, and barely conscious, going from 150-160F inside that plastic coffin of poo, and stepping back into the 120F heat, its probably one of the most satisfying parts of the day. Call me immature, anyone whos deployed to austere locations has experienced this and felt like a victorious Gladiator upon emerging, defeating the heat exhaustion monster spectacularly in your quest to make an offering to the Lady of the Blue Lagoon.
